Piqua Ohio has a dead mall also! Actually the story of this mall reminds me of Piqua’s “new” mall that was suppose to be bring an economic boom to the city, even right down to the Cineamark theater!

This information is incorrect. The house was built by Jonathan Goldsmith, but he never lived there. Instead it was built for a family by the name of Robinson. Mrs. Robinson did in fact open the house as a boarding home after her husband died soon after the house was built, and the Robinsons only had four children.
I have personally spent many, many hours in the Goldsmith house and at night, it is one of the most terrifying places I have ever been in. Last week a few creepy things happened: I dropped one of my shoes in the house, and this week I went looking for it and found it sitting on a wooden bedframe in the corner of the basement. And when I was upstairs sitting by the fire in the parlor with one of my coworkers, we both distinctly heard giggling and a woman’s voice. I am not superstitious, and I’ve never really believed in ghosts, but just being the house gives me chills. I’m definitely not the only one who has felt this way either. Most employees at Hale Farm are totally creeped out by Goldsmith.
Last year I was told by a coworker that the Goldsmith House was previously a brothel, in the 1910s. Since I have been frightened that the ghosts of prostitutes still linger in the house.
As I was doing some research today, I also came across an article which quoted a Hale employee…saying that she once saw an impression on the bed in the master bedroom as if someone was laying there, and as she came closer, the imprint lifted as though the person had gotten up. The master bedroom scares me because of this giant white canopy enclosing the bed. Who knows what could lurk under it.

My parents grew up on farms in Noble County….some scarry stories come out of there also.

I cannot believe that awful eyesore has never been torn down!!! Every time I visit Cuyahoga Falls from out of stat I gag, the City must not care about there image, how ghastly!!!!!

I have great memories of Saturday evenings in the Cedar Point Ballroom. I grew up in Elmore. If such performances were again scheduled there, I would fly back from the Pacific Northwest to attend, especially the Big Bands. I also saw Louis Armstrong and The Four Freshmen in that enchanting atmosphere.

I almost lost my right eye when my mom had a car accident at the cathedral of tomorrow exiting the parking lot. I have vision of that accident after 51 years. Rex was 51 when the tower was first started.

On January 4, 1887, a passenger train crashed head-on with a stalled freight train on the tracks near the cemetery. Between the resulting fire and below-zero temperatures, over a dozen people lost their lives (many of whom were burned alive in the destroyed cars). At the time, it was the worst wreck in the history of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad.

Within a short time of the accident, reports of a “ghost train” started turning up in local newspapers. A red lantern light–used to signal other trains of danger–appeared several times to trains passing in the area, but it vanished as soon as they stopped.

Cedar Point rejects any paranoromal investigations. …..Why? When there is so much history, 145 years of it. Can you imagine on how many entities remain there? I still can not believe I was turned down. Of course the gentleman that I was talking to was a huge big time skeptic. He almost hung up the phone on me. Until I had told him off by saying. “Sir there have been many claims over the years why turn down this golden opertunity? It will help Cedar Point. Not hurt it!” He then says in an angry type of tone “We don’t want it! No thank you!” And that was that so until they change their mind I will not be going to Cedar Point.
